Our Family is a Busy One!

We are a family of four, with one son, Drew, who is in college and one who is a senior, Luke. My husband, Stan, is the fire marshal in Broken Arrow, and I am a school counselor, where I have taught and counseled for 28 years. I am currently transitioning into a new counseling career outside of the school system. Scary! But I'm up for the challenge! Luke is very active in FFA (Future Farmers of America). He shows swine year round, participates in speech contests, and is a member of the skeet and cattle grading teams, while he also takes concurrent classes at Connors State College. Our family travels often for stock shows. We just returned from the American Royal in Kansas City, and beginning in mid November, Luke will show every weekend through mid March. In our spare time (joking, we have none), we also run a beef cattle ranch on our 217 acres. Caring for our ranch is my husband's passion, and caring for Chesapeakes is my passion. The two compliment each other, as the ranch provides lots of land and 5 ponds for the Chessies. They ignore the cattle unless the cattle come near what the Chessies consider their yard, the 10 acres surrounding our home. Any other time, they just ignore the cattle.
